Dubrecht

Dubrecht is a half‑elf (originally a half-Pooka when first met) contact and feather‑hunter who turns up in Yellow as a fast‑talking, well‑connected questor—he hires and consults with mages (including a scryer in the Golden Tower), recruits Gale and the Free Rangers to help him find the Phoenix's Nest, and acts as a social connector at court (listed among the Greens at the party). Pragmatic and a little roguish, he organizes the phoenix‑feather expedition, helps trigger the avalanche that distracts predators so Scout can snatch phoenix plumes, and otherwise serves as a useful, slightly capricious ally for aerial, mountain, and treasure‑seeking ventures. He brings Helena, a halfling priestess, as his guest to the Goddess' Daughter selection party in Jabar. Later, he spots Gale tavern-hopping in Lore's Citadel - at this point he looks like a half‑troll and is interested in acquiring a sandworm tooth.
