Zerbina

Duchess Zerbina is the martial ruler of Darstan in central Red, co-founder of the realm by marriage to Baron Volstak roughly twenty years ago. Though she and Volstak retain ducal titles, Darstan functions as a kingdom in all but name. Their daughter is Princess Bella.

Military Leadership

Zerbina personally commands Darstan's armies and is renowned for yearly conquests of new baronies and duchies. She and Volstak form a formidable partnership: she leads military expansion while he consolidates conquered territories politically.

Notable Events

Signet Ring Theft

George, a spy for King Richard III, orchestrated the theft of Zerbina's signet ring through Thieves' Guild operative Marsha. The intent was to spark a war between Darstan and Berana. The party intercepted and killed Marsha before the ring could be delivered, recovering it and preventing the conflict.

Middlesea Crisis

During the Conclave at Middlesea, Baron Volstak vanished and suffered severe injuries from being used as a sacrifice in a four-priest ritual. Zerbina felt the damage through their lifebond connection. She dispatched agents to investigate, including:

She maintains an active Life spell link to Volstak across the distance. Volstak's absence has left Darstan politically exposed to pressure from King Richard's Lands and Berana.
